Company Profile
The Company's registered office is based at New Delhi. Qualified Supporting staff (Engineers) at corporate office & Site Engineers for different projects are recruited through placement agencies. More than hundred engineers are already working in different states across the country.
The Company signed its 1st Agreement with Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JdVVNL) on 1.10.2007 for third party quality monitoring, supervision and inspection of the village electrification work awarded on turnkey basis by JDVVNL under Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidhyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY) covering 4399 nos. villages in 7 districts having project cost of Rs.84.88 crore.
During the financial year 2007-08, REC PDCL entered into 3 agreements with different power utilities for consultancy business & generated Gross Income of Rs. 3.59 crore and Profit before Tax & after Tax was Rs. 2.70 crore & Rs. 1.78 crore respectively.
During 2008-09, RECPDCL has secured orders from 13 discoms namely UPCL, MSEDCL, WBSEDCL, DGVCL, PGVCL, UGVCL, AVVNL, JDVVNL, JVVNL, HPSEB, UHBVNL, APEPDCL, MeSEB and 4 R.E. Co-operative societies of Andhra.Pradesh, for third party quality monitoring, supervision and inspection of the village electrification work awarded on turnkey basis under Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY) covering approximately 34,934 villages in 71 districts of 9 states with a cumulative project cost of about Rs. 1868 crores.
During the year ending 31st March, 2009, third party inspection of about 7000 villages under RGGVY works and 144 feeders under FRP of Ajmer Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Ltd. were completed by RECPDCL.
Presently, REC PDCL is executing third party monitoring / inspections in different states through following models:
1) Directly through manpower from placement agency.
2) Out-sourcing of work under REC PDCL supervision.
In addition to third party inspection, consultancy work & works on IT in power sector, RECPDCL has entered into MOU with Ms. HCL and Ms. TCS and proposal to TNEB, HESCOM for HT consumer load control system, substation AMR & SCADA system on GPRS technology & smart metering has already been submitted for their considerations.
